Jan 1, 2026 My dear friend,
The serpent bows and yields its course Coiling trails through tariffed pastures Ahead begins our tour-de-horse Loping into fresh new raptures As hoofbeats drum the year's first light May stirrups hold to clear each fence Let neigh-sayers whinny out of sight Where old stumbles see stable sense Let our herd of wayward flaws Run unhobbled by doubt or guise May we learn the gift of pause And marvel with clear equine eyes-- What makes a muscled mare a moose? Not antler lost nor borrowed hue; A steed that champs as reins hang loose Can taste the iron in its shoe From Seabiscuit bolts to Pegasus flights Long-faced heroes bear their pride Through daily hacks and colt colt nights It's courage, not carriage, that we ride So saddle up for one more spin The fields are wide, the bridle plain Unwrap the Trojan tucked within… Gallop with the wind in your mane!---May your Year of the Horse bring open horizons, sure footing, and the occasional leap of faith...wishing you and your loved ones a trotally spirited 2026!---
